Brazilian futsal win

Queenstown’s futsal team, made up of Brazilians, has knocked over the national side.

The Queenstown Falcons downed the Vikings 5-3 in a friendly match at Timaru last weekend.

The Vikings are warming up for upcoming futsal internationals. Futsal is like soccer but played on an indoor court with a smaller ball.

Falcons player and coach Raul Werlang says at one stage his team was 2-1 down during the five-a-side encounter. “From there we just calmed down and relaxed a bit,” Werlang adds.
