QD Smokes Guahan In Futsal Opener

Guam - The Calvo's Insurance Men's Futsal league had a season opener last night at Astumbo gym with three matches slated.

The opening match pitted the always strong Quality Distributors team against the newly formed FC Guahan team.

Quality notched the first goal of the match within the first ten mintues of play. Immediately after though, Guahan popped in the equalizing goal and looked to keep up with the Quality. But that thought faded quick.

Quality would keep on pestering the Guahan keeper and put up three more goals in the next ten minutes causing frustration to set in for Guahan. Quality opened up the season with a dominating victory over FC Guahan defeating them 11-2 for the first match of the night. In the second match of the evening, the Cobras and Paintco Strykers ended their match in a 5-5 tie and the last match of the night went to Guam Shipyard who defeated Deyo 9-2. The futsal action continues this Sunday at Astumbo Gym with the first match starting at noon.
