1st Ford Futsal Challenge Trophy

Bandar Seri Begawan - Premier Automobiles Sdn Bhd is inviting futsal teams nationwide to participate in the 1st Ford Futsal Challenge Trophy 2010 to be held next month.

Promising a cash prize of $2,000 and trophy for the champion, the four-week futsal tournament (July 4, 9, 11 and 16) will be contested at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam Sports Complex Multi-purpose hall.

According to the tournament organiser, currently 30 teams have already registered to participate in the tournament, including two teams each from Labuan and Miri.

"Our target is to attract 60 teams in our first year of organising the tournament. However we are very happy if the participation is over the target. Besides the foreign teams, teams from Tutong, Belait and Temburong will also be participating," said one of the organising committee members.

The tournament first runner-up will be receiving $1,300 and trophy followed by second runner-up $700 and trophy while fourth place will walk away with trophy only. The Best Player and Top Goal Scorer will also be awarded.

Entry forms can be obtained from Premier Automobiles Sdn Bhd and must be submitted on or before July 1 at 5 pm while the entry fee is $120 per team.

Team draw will be conducted on the next day at the Premier Automobiles showroom in Beribi at 8pm.
