William MartinThe 2010 Guam Football Association’s youth Futsal League ended on June 12 with a round of games which decided the Cobras as the victor in the under 16 boys’ division.
The team picked up a championship win over the Wings on the GFA courts in a competitive game that went in their favor, 6-4, according to a GFA release.
Nick Roberto of the team pulled out a hat trick to lead the Cobras, who came to the end of their season with a perfect, 8-0 record. Scott Spindel scored all four goals for the Wings, though the rally was not enough to carry the team to the title.
The consolation match saw the Sidekicks take the league’s no. 3 rank after a 5-4 fight against the Crushers.
When it came to the Cobras’ younger counterparts in the league’s under 14 division, the title was all for the Cobras as well, with the team defeating the Wings in a 10-1 game, similarly capping off their season with an 8-0 record as well. The division third place went to the Islanders after they defeated Wings Chelu, 12-4.

The league’s under 10 division concluded with a final game between the Strykers and the Sidekicks, with the former shutting out their competition in a 2-0 game. The league’s no. 3 went to the Crushers, who defeated the Islanders for the spot, also last month.
