Sydney MungalaThu 01 July 2010The Zambia futsal national team will at the end of this month host a three-nation tournament ahead of the CAF 2010 Burkina Faso Africa championships.
In interview, national team coordinator Mauro Sanna named the participating countries as reigning Africa champions Libya, Mozambique and the hosts.
Sanna said the tournament set for July 24-31, will be used as a preparatory game for the Burkina Faso games.
“We are going to host a three-nation tournament where we shall have the African champions Libya who have since accepted our invitation and Mozambique has been in touch so everything is on course,” he said.
Sanna said the games will be played at the newly-constructed Olympic Youth Development Centre artificial stadium.
“We now have a better facility for international games we are lucky the Olympic Youth Development Centre has a beautiful stadium which we have since secured on those dates,” he said.
Zambia will also participate in a Brazil invitational tournament in October.
The trip is all expenses paid for except for travel costs that the local team will have to meet.
