This year we have had four new champions with Perth Saltires taking the Premier Division for the first time and the League Cup and with winning the league title Saltires will be entered in the UEFA Futsal Cup next season for the first time and next Tuesday they will find out who they face and which country the will be going to. Breadalbane FC took the first division title in their first season, and also in their first season Hydro Inter took the second division title. The league would like to welcome FC Burghmuir, Perth City and Kinnoull JFC to the league for next season.
This season we say a sad farewell to Blue Boys after nine years in the league, Laurelbankies and FC Pumas have left after five years, also Inter Cosmos, Crazy Old Saints, Kwik Fit Fitters.

Perth Youth FutsalTHE seventh edition of the PYF Annual Open tournament starts tonight (Friday) at 6pm and concludes tomorrow at 5pm. It looks set to be another exciting event, with notable entrants being current Scottish double winners Perth Saltires, Middlesborough Futsal Club, and the Scottish Deaf Futsal Team.
A presentation night is tomorrow for 6.30pm at the Tulloch Institute for all the teams/players who have played in the Youth Futsal leagues or represented PYF in the Scottish National League, as well as those teams participating in the PYF Open. A buffet and disco have also been arranged as part of the event and a good turnout is anticipated.
Having won the National title for the very first time a few weeks ago, the club's Perth Saltires squad followed it up by winning the Scottish Futsal League Cup, defeating Perth Brasil in the semifinal and Santos in the final. The squad are eagerly awaiting the UEFA Futsal Cup draw, which will be held in Switzerland on Tuesday and will be attended by PYF representatives Stephen Chatila and Scott Robertson. The team face a trip to one of the following possibilities: Malta, Cyprus, Austria, Iceland, Lithuania, Macedonia or Hungary, and are looking forward to competing in the UEFA Futsal Cup, which is the biggest event in European Club Futsal.
The new Winter 2010 season looks likely to commence on Friday, August 27 – entries for the new season are now being accepted from new and existing teams and with only a very small number of openings remaining it's a case of first come, first served for new applications.
There is a change to leagues and formats, with only two leagues running at 14/15 and 16/17 years old. The leagues will contain a maximum of eight teams in each and the revamped sessions will contain, amongst other events, shootouts, penalty challenges, skills circuits, crossbar challenge, as well as the traditional league games.
The PYF Skillz School will be open to kids aged up to 13 years old and will be limited to a maximum of 40 players, so anyone interested in participating should register asap to avoid disappointment.
Work is underway on launching the new version of the PYF club website and online e-zine, and both are expected to be online within the next few weeks.
