Youth And Sports Ministry Organises 1Malaysia Futsal Carnival

BUTTERWORTH, July 4 (Bernama) -- The Youth and Sports Ministry will organise a 1Malaysia Futsal Carnival involving all the parliamentary constituencies throughout the country beginning next month.

Its minister, Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek, said the competition would involve 222 men's teams and 222 women's teams.

"The final matches will be held in Putrajaya in December," he told reporters after opening the Closed Futsal Championship in conjunction with the Permatang Pauh Youth Month and Sports, here Sunday.

Forty-one teams from the Permatang Pauh Parliamentary constituency took part in the futsal championship which was held in conjunction with the 'Juara Rakyat' programme.
