Perthshire AdvertiserPerth futsal side chase European dreamJul 16 2010FUTSAL side Perth Saltires have been drawn in Group C of the UEFA Futsal Cup and face a trip to Austria.
They will meet hosts Stella Rossa Vienna, as well as the champions of Bosnia KMF, Orlic Sarajevo, and the champions of Moldova, SC Tornado Chisinau.
The squad are preparing to participate in this very tough group but are relishing the challenge and looking forward to competing in the Cup, which is the biggest event in European club Futsal.
The new Perth Youth Futsal winter season will start on Friday, August 27.
There is a change to leagues and formats, with only two leagues running at 14/15 and 16/17 years old. Entries for the new season are now being accepted from new and existing teams, and with only one opening remaining in each league, it’s a case of first come, first served for new applications.
The PYF Skillz School will be open to kids aged up to 13 years old and will be limited to a maximum of 40 players, so anyone interested in participating should register asap to avoid disappointment.
Work is underway on launching the new version of the PYF club website and online e-zine, and both are expected to be online within the next few weeks.
For more information regarding PYF contact Steve Chatila on 07849 321 938 (after 5pm) or via email to secretary@scottishfutsal.co.uk.
