Beribi Warrior 'B' Ford Champion

Bandar Seri Begawan - Beribi Warrior `B' beat Puspa 'A' on penalties to win the Ford Futsal Challenge Trophy 2010 at the UBD Sports Complex yesterday.

The first-ever futsal tournament organised by Premier Automobile Sdn Bhd (PASB) was held in conjunction with His Majesty's 64th birthday celebrations.

Prizes were presented by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Laila Diraja Dato Paduka Hj Hazair Hj Abdullah.

Response to the tournament was overwhelming with a total of 37 teams participating in the tournament that began on July 9.

Beribi Warrior 'IT received the challenge trophy, medals plus $2,000 cash while Puspa 'A' got $1,300, trophy and medals.

PASB donated $1,000 each from the proceeds to three charitable organisations namely the National Orphans Fund, Disabled Individual Fund and the National Welfare Fund.

The donations were received by the Acting Director of Community Development Department, MCYS, Dyg Hjh Misnah Hj Bolhassan.
