No, it won't be a
100% official World Cup, but the December 2010 tournament to be played in Spain will mean everything for women futsal ambitions, beeing a kind of
mundialito between some of the best national teams. This is the reason why
Vander Iacovino and his girls are looking forward to that event, in the aim to repeat the glory days experienced by the
canarinhos in the men World Cup 2008. Since June 22nd to July 19th the
Brazil Women National Team has been training hard in the technical centre
Aécio de Borba Vasconcelos of Caucaia, Fortaleza (state of Cearà). A good chance to evaluate the players conditions, before the beginning of the
Liga Futsal 2010 which will provide head coach
Vander Iacovino with a great chance to find new talents to enter the team. Sixteen players were selected for the mentioned training session, starting with the base of the team that conquered the South American title in Campinas.
