Kurukuru to depart next week Monday

Tuesday, 27 July 2010

OUR national futsal team Kurukuru will depart for Fiji next week Monday.

After two impressive friendlies with the Honiara select side recently, the futsal talents are confident that they will retain the title as the defending champions.

Led by team captain Elliot Ragomo, the boys will be departing as ambassadors of the country aiming to place Solomon Islands at the top as the best in futsal in the region.

The teams two threats are Fiji and New Zealand but Kurukuru coach Dickson Kadau and captain Ragomo have stated that they were not afraid of the two countries threats.

Francis Lafai, Micah Lealafa, Jack Whetney to name a few have shown what they are capable of during their two friendlies.

Ragomo have indicated earlier that Kurukuru’s preparations leading up to the OFC Championship has been impressive as they have built their confidence in all departments.

Kurukuru heads off next week with a mission and that is to continue their dominance as the Kings of Futsal in the region.
