Futsal Internationale slated

TWO teams from the Futsal-5-aside Australia will see action in the IROK Futsal Internationale kicking off this Saturday at the Southville International School gym in Las Pinas City.

"We hope to learn from these two Australian teams, particularly their playing style and technique," said IROK coach Manny Batungbacal, who is organizing the event, in yesterday’s PSA forum at the Shakey’s UN Ave.

Joining Batungbacal in the public service program backed by Accel, Shakey’s, Pagcor and Outlast Battery were Futsal-5-aside president Dave Birch, Matthew Jamieson and Kylia Russel, men’s and women’s team captains, respectively, of the sides from New South Wales.

"We are not a full strength because it’s school season in Australia and most of the players are studying," said Birch.
