AFCWhat is the AFC Futsal Coaching Certificate?Thursday, 22 July 2010 01:30The AFC Futsal Coaching Certificate course also belongs to AFC’s specialised courses. Candidates must hold the AFC ‘C’ Coaching Certificate as a minimum requirement. The course is designed to create Futsal coaches for the development of this popular game across Asia. The students will be kept up-to-date with the latest changes and improvements in Futsal coaching and will cover the practical and theoretical aspects of the game.
Course duration:
Level 1 - minimum 52 hours
Level 2 - minimum 72 hours
Participation criteria for the Futsal L1 Coaching course:
• AFC ‘C’ Coaching Certificate with a minimum of 1 year coaching experience
• Playing and coaching experience (supporting CV)
Participation criteria for the Futsal L2 Coaching course:
• Futsal ‘Level 1’ Coaching Certificate
• Working experience (minimum 2 years)
• Log book (minimum 60 coaching hours)
• Valid licence
How can I become an AFC Futsal Instructor?Thursday, 22 July 2010The AFC Futsal Instructors course is for holders of the AFC ‘A’ Coaching Certificate or AFC Futsal Level 2 Coaching Certificate with valid licences. In addition, participants have to undergo two levels of instructorship. This is also a “Train The Trainers” course that teaches football’s in-depth development model based on the idea that Futsal should be considered the base of football, because it provides players with valuable skills. The course focuses on individual as well as team actions on both grassroots and professional levels, allowing the participants to learn the basics of teaching and the latest trends in the game’s strategies. Both levels of Futsal instructorship cover approximately 140 hours and the assessments require examinations in all three practical, theoretical and oral sessions.
Participation criteria for becoming An AFC Futsal Instructor:
• AFC ‘A’ Coaching Certificate/AFC Futsal Coaching Certificate II with a valid licence
• Playing and coaching experience (supporting CV)
• Written and spoken English (continental and regional level)
• Able to conduct both the Theoretical and Practical Sessions
• Physically and medically fit
• Knowledgeable (well-informed), good communication skills
• Convincing (able to convince), fair and objective
• Basic Powerpoint skills, computer literate
• Not exceeding retirement age of 60
