Bids invited to host futsal qualifiers

Kuala Lumpur: AFC has invited interest from the Member Associations to host the AFC Futsal Championship 2012 qualifiers.

The qualifying rounds for East, West, South and Central and ASEAN zones, will be held in December 2011.

There will be a round robin format for the qualifying rounds with two groups consisting of 3 to 5 teams each. The knock-out stages are consisted of the semi-finals, 3rd/4th placing and final.

The six-day qualifiers will have three match days in the group stage, followed by a rest day and two match days for knock-out stages.

Top three teams from each zone will qualify for the tournament proper.

Interested Member Associations are required to respond to AFC latest by September 1, 2010.
