Unreliable futsal time-slot bookings

Thursday, August 12th, 2010

ALMANZO of Bangsar has been a regular at the Sports City Futsal Centre in Petaling Jaya for the past four years.

"My team and I took a break from futsal during the recent World Cup and our regular time-slot was taken by other teams. We're fine with that but we're very upset that when we book our usual slot, the staff would say it is available but would call a day or two before our futsal date and tell us it has been taken up and we would have to take a later slot," he says, adding that this has happened a few times.

"The last straw was when we confirmed our booking last week for 10pm to midnight but the staff called us on Aug 9 to inform they had over-booked and we could only have the court at 10.30pm."

ALMANZO feels the futsal centre has not been acting professionally.

"If there are no courts available for a particular slot, just tell us so. Don't mess with our planning by saying the courts are available and, at the last minute, tell us we have to alter our plans."

A Spokesman for Sports City Futsal Centre apologises to ALMANZO and his team for the inconvenience caused.

"Changes in time-slots are due to clash-bookings where the time-slots overlap a little. We constantly strive to maintain good relationships with all our customers, especially the regulars. So when clash-bookings happen, we try to accommodate the teams involved as best we can, especially during our peak-hour slots, which starts from 8pm.

"The management will look into the matter seriously and take the necessary action."
