Sometimes miracles are there to happen. But, actually, they're not miracles but just the mere result of hard work. Though it took a long time for Akademia Futsal Club Pniewy, now the time to celebrate finally came. An unbelievable ending in the polish league gave the title to the Klaudiusz Hirsch's guys. Akademia got their three points (hat trick by the polish-brazilian Cleverson, arrived in January just from Nova Katowice, single goals by Derik, Lebiedzinski and Pieczynski) from the pitch of the legendary Clearex Chorzow, while league rivals Hurtap Leczyca (home tie vs Rekord Bielsko-Biala) and FC Nova Katowice (away defeat vs Pogoñ 04 Szczecin) stopped their run towards the polish futsal title 2009/2010. CHAMPIONS AKADEMIA!

Akademia Futsal Club Pniewy, for the first time in its history- has won the Polish Futsal Championship!
In the 22 games played the AFC players won 17 games and they will therefore represent Poland in the UEFA Futsal Cup 2010/2011.

Remarkably, none of this seasons games played by the new crowned champions ended with a draw. AFC scored 91 goals (4.1 per game) and allowed just 42 (less than 2 per game) being the best defensive team of the season.

Since 1999 the club has been very successful. So far the club has in it's collection silver and bronze Championship medals and the Polish Cup Trophy conquered in 2009. This season they have finally reached the TOP!

"I'm extremely happy and very proud" - said AFC coach, Klaudiusz Hirsch - "It's definitely our greatest success and I hope we will perform well in the UEFA Cup. I would like to thank all the players, and also our President Cezary Pieczyński, without whom this magnificent result would not be possible. Many thanks to all our fans for their big support as well, they have been fantastic!"

These thanks are indeed owed. The AFC fans - many from the town of Pniewy - have been acknowledged by quite a few observers in Poland as being the best futsal supporters during this years campaign.
