Whetney to join Amical

Tuesday, 17 August 2010

The country’s national Futsal player Jack Whetney will leave for Vanuatu Tuesday next week to join Vanuatu Club Champion Amical FC.

Whetney last month left for Vanuatu but was recalled by the Kurukuru team for the Oceania Futsal Champion in Suva, Fiji.

Now that he had successfully helped Our Telekom Kurukuru in defending its title he is looking forward to team up with seven Solomon Islands players who are already in Vanuatu.

Players who are already there are veteran striker Batram Suri, Richard Anisua, Mostyn Sanga, Moffat Deremoa, Edigar Maeta and Nelson Sale and Stanley Waeta.

Whetney inclusion will add more strength for the Amical FC as they prepare for the O-League qualifying.

Whetney has been playing striker for Kossa FC and has shown he is a potential striker who can help Amical FC into victory.

In the previous years he also helps several clubs in Fiji and playing in the outdoors game is not new to him.
