Dear Editor – Truly Solomon Islands’ KURUKURU Futsal team is the king of the OFC Champions and three times champions in the region.

Solomons has reversed the tide and stood tall rubbing shoulders with other great nations of the world of Futsal and beach soccer.

My son doing university studies in Fiji rang me last week and told me that Kurukuru is just too good for the other regional futsal nations in the Pacific and unbeatable.

Well done boys you have made it a two times champion in the region this year 2010. Your skills and style of play and the support from university students makes you fill with energy and confidence to make it through and you will soon fly the Solomons flag again in the world class standard competition and championship somewhere.

Welcome back home kings and congratulations you are heroes and great warriors indeed returning home after a great victory.

Finally, I would like to recommend to the Government to improve and develop good standard facilities for these two sports – Futsal and beach soccer.

In these two sports, we rise to the top of Oceania to reach the world stage.

At the same time, suspend other sports that are wasting our money with their overseas trips.
