FUTSAL NEWS AUSTRIA

1st Austrian Futsal Masters
Kapfenberg (Austria)

14 Teams were competed on the 1st Austrian Futsal Master in Kapfenberg. The masters was hosted bey NACHWUCHSMODELL KAPFENBERG under Sandor Farago and FUTSAL AUSTRIA with president Alfred Schloyer. In 47 games 128 goals were scored.
The Winner was the team of OLIDA CERAMIC VIENNA, with 5-0 winning over STELLA ROSSA TIPP 3 VIENNA in the Final Match.
CBC BOSNA PERG (OÖ) winning 1-0 over COPA CABANA LINZ (OÖ) gain third place when the ROTER STERN VIENNA with victory 4-0 over SOKOL POLSKI VIENNA won the fifth place cup. Seventh place won the FC WEISTRACH (NÖ) winning over SC PERCHTOLDSDORF (NÖ).

That the FUTSAL has a great future in Austria said all partecipants, coaches and club presidents.

In the season 2003/2004 the STYRIAN FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION will host only FUTSAL for their teams, this will be the first step to introduce FUTSAL in Austria.

Next year AUSTRIAN FUTSAL MASTERS will be also hosted in KAPFENBERG, and we hope that the teams from the other austrian Regions (Tirol, Salzburg, Kärnten, Burgenland and Vorarlberg) will take place on this great Futsal Event.

We conducted an interview with Mr. Santiago Márquez, the president of LNFS and with the ANEFS (Spanish Association of Coaches) in order to establish the groundwork for future collaborations.

Javier Lozano, Spain's national coach, has written an editorial for the upcoming SF Magazine

"Schulsport Total" On April 4th, the annual presentation of all the sports offered by the Sports Department of the City of Zurich will take place. Futsal is newly part of this presentation.
