Some troubles for Conmebol in the organization of the
4th South American Championships Under 20, as reported by the argentinean portal
Pasion Futsal. The tournament was supposed to start in Itaguí (Antioquia, Colombia) on next September 25th, ending on October 2nd. Some weeks ago an official note from the South American Confederation announced the postponement of the event, without indicating a new tentative fixture. That was initially caused by the lack of resources underlined by the major of Itaguí, in order to set up such a prestigious event. Fortunately things are changed in the meanwhile and the youth futsal event has been rescheduled for October 29th, closing on November 7th. According to the information given by
Diego Morales from the Colombian FA, the aim is to arrange two groups of 5 nations, and then decide the fourth winner through semifinals and final games formula. All eyes will on the "always-winning" Brazil, that will be looking for the 4th title in a row.
