Daily ExpressLimited slots left for M'sia Day 2010 Futsal TournamentKota Kinabalu: The newly completed Borneo Sports Arena (BSA) dubbed as one of the biggest futsal facility in the State is proud and honoured to be part of the organising committee of the inaugural Malaysia Day 2010 Futsal Tournament.
"Borneo Sports Arena is proud to be the co-organiser of this event. We hope our young and talented sportsmen will take this opportunity to participate in this tournament to gain more experience and exposure," said Thomas Chiu from BSA, who is the co-organising committee chairman of the tournament.
He said that the event, which is being co-organised with Safa Bandaraya is aimed at cultivating healthy living and a platform in developing future new talents in futsal as well as football.
"The closing date is getting near and we have very limited slots available left. It is advised that all those who are interested in this Malaysia Day 2010 Futsal Tournament submit and pay the registration fees directly to BSA," said Chiu.
The one-day tournament is limited to 30 teams and is scheduled to be held on September 18 at its premise, which offers international-level courts.
The deadline for registration is September 10. Registration fee is RM300 per team of 10 players.
Among the rules and regulation of the tournament is that all banned players as well as the current futsal State players or with the State senior teams are ineligible to take part.
The tournament is offering a handsome RM3,000 prize money for the champion while the runners up, third placed and fourth placed teams will take home RM1,000, RM500 and RM300 respectively.
The prize money also goes along with trophy and medals.
Entry forms are available at Borneo Sports Arena in Kolombong or Ararat Sport & Souvenirs (Komplex Kuwasa & Alam Mesra).
