X AMF Futsal World Cup - Colombia 2011

On 17th of August in the central hall of the prestigious Hotel Tekendama took place the presentation and the official draw of the X AMF Futsal World Cup. The event was broadcasted live on TV, and was attended by a large representation of political and sports authorities from many places. Mayors and Sports directors from Bogotá, Bucaramanga, Villavicencio and Bello, cities that will host the AMF World Championship, took part in the act as well. Among the sports officials should be emphasized the presence of the Colombian Olympic Committee president, the AMF chairman Rolando Alarcón, the AMF general secretary Pedro Bonnettini, the Colombian Federation president Manuel Sánchez, the World Championship manger Ruben Dario Delgado, Colombian Federation former president and Vice Chairman of AMF D. Jaime Arroyabe, historic and charismatic futsal character who was honored for his commitment and dedication to the sport. Also 12 national FAs Presidents from the 16 participating nations moved to Bogota in order to attend the draw.
