Two friendlies against Guatemala (September 20th and 21st) will work as preparation for the October Grand Prix tournament for the
Spanish National Team leaded by
Venancio Lopez. Also, the first game in Santa Coloma will register the absolutely deserved tribute to one of the undisputed stars of worldwide futsal:
Javi Rodriguez, who has left the national team after the end of the, once again winning,
European Championships 2010 in Hungary.
The Venancio's roster suffered a last minute change in the attack zone, as the injured
Fernandao will be replaced by the Azkar Lugo's pivot
Matamoros.
Aicardo (Lobelle de Santiago) and
Josè Ruiz (Fisiomedia Manacor) are the new names from the Venancio's list: no doubts on the fact that the new star of the galician side deserved to be in the team since the past season already.
Aicardo and some more young players from the Division de Honor are there to prove that hard work on youth futsal pay off, words and good intentions are not enough, let's hope that the majority of futsal countries will understand it. It's clear that is going to be a tough job, considering that even Spain is still featuring one or two
bra-spanish instead of counting an a 100% iberian selection.
