Perth Youth Futsal

THE PYF Winter 2010 sessions resumes tonight (Friday) at Bell’s Sports Centre with the next round of league games as well as the coaching sessions.

There are still openings for the PYF Skillz School, which is open to kids aged up to 14 years old – anyone interested in participating can register by contacting us or turning up for the 6pm session.

Please note that there is a change to the session times, in particular to those affecting the 16/17 league. Session times now are: 6–7pm PYF Skillz School; 7–8pm 14/15 League; 8–9pm 16/17 league; and 9–10pm PYF Saltires coaching session.

Work is ongoing to form the PYF Saltires squads (Under 14s, Under 16s and Under 18s) who will undergo regular training sessions so as to prepare them for the challenges of upcoming trips to play in England, Ireland, Belgium and Spain.

The PYF Level 1 coaching course continues Friday and there are plans to hold another Level 1 course at the end of October, open to non-PYF coaches. Anyone interested in attending, or joining PYF as a coach, should email the club for more information.

Perth Saltires were in action on Monday night when they faced Perth Brasil in an enthralling end-to-end game. The team are joint second in the Scottish Futsal League and their next game is on Monday when they face FC Santos in an 8.20pm kick off at Bell’s Sports Centre.

Registrations for The Perth Youth Futsal Tote club have now started. It costs £7 to participate and consists of seven monthly draws. Entry deadline is tonight (Friday, September 24).

The club is hosting a fundraising Race Night on Saturday, September 25, at the 208 Hotel to help raise funds for the PYF Saltires squad and their upcoming trips.
