New captain for Leeds Futsal ClubLeeds Futsal Club have appointed Matt Tyler as captain for the forthcoming season, replacing Chris Thurston.
The 22-year old winger captained Leeds FC against the Grimsby and Oldham last season.
Leeds FC Manager Junior Roberti: “I am sure Tyler will be looking for support and advice from Chris over the coming season.”
He added: “I have no doubt he will captain the side in his own style and, if all players follow Tyler’s attitude in the way he trains and plays the game, then I am sure we can really move forward as a group.
“He has been with Leeds from last year and not only does he have the full respect of the coaches and players at Leeds, but he also is a Leeds Metropolitan Futsal Player and club captain.”
Junior Roberti also praised former captain Chris, who had captained the side for the previous year.
“I would like to thank Chris for the outstanding captaincy which he has given to Leeds. He’s a fantastic player and a great person!
Junior added that he was confident Leeds could improve this season.
“There is a wonderful buzz throughout the squad,” he said, “and I am really looking forward to kicking off the new season.”
