Manchester Futsal Club meet with Falcao

Brazilian Futsal’s star player Falcao was in Manchester recently and took time out of his busy schedule to meet with Manchester Futsal Club representatives at a promotional event that was taking place in the city, during which Manchester Futsal Club were able to gain exclusive access to talk to one of the most respected players in world futsal.

Falcao’s visit to Manchester may have gone unnoticed by many of the city’s football fans but for Manchester Futsal Club this was an opportunity they could hardly believe would ever happen. The evening was made even more special when futsal’s prodigal son signed the club’s no.12 shirt.

‘We were all blown away by meeting Falcao, what a great ambassador for futsal around the world by taking time to speak with us’ commented Manchester Futsal Club’s Ilya Ovechkin.

During the evening Falcao was keen to hear more about Manchester Futsal Club and futsal’s growing popularity in England. Indeed, it was an captivating event for the club’s representatives and a great honour to share the club’s passion for developing futsal with the world’s best player

‘All of the guys have worked so hard this season so to get an opportunity like this is a great way to motivate both the players and staff for the upcoming 2010,11 FA Futsal Conference North season’.

When asked about the one question most futsal clubs would have tried to get an answer to, Manchester’s General Manager was quick to respond;

‘Of course I asked whether he would consider signing for Manchester Futsal Club! Signing our club shirt was as far as we got though!’
