Futsal success

THE Central Coast Lightning under-14 girls have continued their recent run of success, with their second Australian Futsal title of the year. Lightning dominated their Football NSW competition, culminating in a 3-0 grand final win over Northern Tigers at the end of August. They then switched to Futsal and blitzed the national schools titles, held in Brisbane across three days last week. The coast girls won all eight games, scoring a colossal 86 goals and conceding just four. They beat Tasmania in the final 9-2. Central Coast’s Bridget Booker and Emily Young were chosen in an All Star side at the end of the tournament. The success follows on from their national Futsal title win earlier this year.
