Berita JakartaAn Indoor Soccer Arena Demolished for Permit Violation14/10/2010East Jakarta Building Monitoring Agency (P2B) demolished Thursday (10/14) an indoor soccer (futsal) arena located on Jl Laut Banda, Neighborhood Unit (RT) 10/ Community Unit (17), Block B1, No. 3, which is still under construction. The operation was done as the permit of the 900 meter square building was designated as residence.
Head of Control Section of the Agency, Yarneddy said, basically, the building had undergone another demolition in last May; but the building owner Ariani Budiman later continued the construction. At the first operation, the construction of the building had completed 90 percent.
"The demolition was first done last May. The owner apparently continued the construction; thus, we dismantled it again," said Yarneddy, Thursday (10/14).
In addition to violating the building-designation rule, explained Yarneddy, the building also breached the line-building rule (GSB) as set out in Bylaw No.7/1991 on Building in Jakarta area.
"The demolition was done by cutting the whole pillars and the roof made of steel frames; so the construction can not proceed," continued Yarneddy. The operation involving dozens of public order officers run smoothly, without facing any resistance from the owner.
