BORO ANNOUNCE £1 TICKETS AND ADOPT LOCAL CHARITY

Middlesbrough Futsal Club pledge entry fees to TFM radio’s Cash for Kids

With one month to go until the start of The FA Futsal League North season Middlesbrough Futsal Club have announced entry prices and confirmed fixtures for the upcoming season with league newcomers East Coast at home on 21st November to kick off the season in a special match for Cash for Kids.

Middlesbrough will once again play their home games at Thornaby Pavilion on Sundays, kicking off at 1.30pm. A small entry fee of £1 for everyone is hopefully going to encourage spectators and build up the fan base as Boro aim to regain the title they won in 2009.

What’s more, Boro are running a campaign on their facebook page (www.facebook.com/borofutsal) and will pledge all entry fees from the opening match to TFM radio’s Cash for Kids if they have over 1,000 likes by 21st November!

Chairman and manager Damon Shaw hopes that this social network campaign and pulling on people’s heart strings will increase the crowd. “We want to get people in, because once they have experienced a futsal match I am sure they will come back for more. We have a young team of local talent including three international players and they would thrive with the backing of the locals as they represent Middlesbrough in the national league.

“We’d also like to be able to donate a nice sum of money to Cash for Kids to help with their Annual Christmas Appeal,” he continued.

He is also confident he has the team to be successful this season, “We’ve kept our squad together and added a few faces, some we knew of already, and some new trialists we had come to the open trials. We lacked experience last season, but we have competed in Europe and three players played for Great Britain over summer and we’ll be very well prepared for all four competitions.”

Boro’s website has had a bit of a revamp over the last week ready for the new season where you can find out all about the club including how to get involved with the academy or how to enter the Tees Valley Futsal League. They are always keen to hear from fans so get in touch! For more information and to LIKE Boro on facebook, go to BoroFutsal.com
