Brazil slams Italy 6-1 for semi spot at Grand Prix of futsal

Home team Brazil made short work of Italy 6-1 in the quarterfinals of the VI Grand Prix of Futsal on Thursday.

Brazil took control of the match from the start with three unanswered goals in the first half. Ari scored first in the 8th minute, followed by Gabriel in the 11th minute. Ari then made a great defensive play, stole the ball and fired it into the Italian goal.

Italy returned in the second half to score their only goal of the match. Off a corner kick, Gabriel Lima one-timed the ball strongly into the Brazilian net.

Brazil responded with another flurry of three goals. Vinicius scored Brazil's fourth goal in the 33rd minute, followed by Rafael in the 39th minute and Carlinhos in the 40th and last minute of regulation.
