Paraguay wins third place at Brazilian Futsal GP

The Paraguayan national team beat Iran 5-3 in the third-place playoff for the bronze medal at the Brazilian Futsal Grand Prix on Saturday.

Iran opened up with a 2-0 lead in the first half with goals from Hassanzadeh and Keshavarz. As the second half kicked off, Paraguay claimed the lead with three consecutive goals, scored by Cholo, Yiyi and Cesar Mongelos respectively.

Iran tied the match with a goal from Moghadam, taking the game into overtime.

In overtime, Paraguay dominated and scored two quick goals. Yiyi and Cholo each scored their second goals of the game, guaranteeing their third place finish in the Grand Prix.

The final of the Grand Prix will be held on Sunday and will pit home team Brazil against Spain.
