Brunei's Vikings Head To M'sia For Futsal Competition

The spirit and never ending support from parents, guardians, and coaches are the essence for nine Viking Futsal players from Brunei Darussalam who left for Malaysia to attend the Vikings Futsal World Championship at the Triways Sport Complex, Kuala Lumpur, between October 25 and November 1.

In an interview with The Bulletin, Chairman of the Viking Group, Awang Fendi Bohari bin Haji Bujang, said "This is the first time the Vikings of Brunei are invited to participate in the tournament since its establishment last year. Vikings Futsal originates from Australia and has spread to Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore and further.

The Brunei national flag was handed over to the Brunei Vikings Futsal Group manager, Bahmin bin Hj Ahmad to the FFBD chairman, Hj Md Yunos bin Haji Md Yusof.

Vikings Futsal World Championship will start on October 26 with a Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia match in the morning followed by a match between New Zealand and Brunei Darussalam in the evening.

A match between Brunei Darussalam and Australia will take place on October 27 followed by a match with China in the afternoon. On October 28, Brunei will play Singapore, while the championship game and screening will be held which groups enter the final stage.
