Libya to host Mediterranean futsal tournament in Nov

Tripoli, Libya - Libya will host the Mediterranean futsal tournament from 1 to 11 November, sports sources in Tripoli said Wednesday. Futsal is a variant of association football that is played on a smaller playing surface and mainly indoors.

The tournament will involve 16 teams from Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Lebanon, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Greece, France, Cyprus, Turkey, Malta, Albania, Palestine and Syria, the sources noted.

The draws, made 13 Ocotber, divided the teams into four groups as follows:

Group A -- Libya, Syria, Greece and Morocco.

Group B -- Algeria, France, Slovenia and Albania.

Group C -- Tunisia, Malta, Cyprus and Bosnia.

Group D -- Lebanon, Croatia, Palestine and Turkey.
