The AFC.comChinsari set to be first women's Regional Futsal InstructorWednesday, 27 October 2010Kuala Lumpur: Iranian national women’s futsal coach Mitra Chinsari feels lucky to have a chance to become the first women's Regional Futsal Instructor.
Chinsari, who was one of the participants in the FIFA-AFC Futsal Continental Train the Trainer Selection Course from October 18 to 23, 2010, praised AFC for the course.
“This train-the-trainers course is really a good idea and I commend the AFC for organising this kind of course for futsal, the first of its kind.
“While futsal is a very important sport in my country, we don’t have many futsal coaches’ trainers in Iran, leave alone for women. There is much potential that needs to be developed.
“We have about 200 futsal coaches in Iran but very few women in this role. I see this course as an opportunity to improve myself so that I can help produce more women coaches to improve women's futsal,” Chinsari told the-afc.com
Asked about her future plan after the course, Chinsari said she would share the lessons learned with her colleagues so that they also develop an interest to develop coaches on top of their players coaching duties.
On the course itself, Chinsari said she was happy to learn new things and satisfied with the techniques taught in the course.
The course was closed on October 23 by AFC Futsal Director Ali Targholizade, who said that the participants had a chance to become Regional Futsal Instructors to be assigned to their respective regions – Asean, East, West or Central and South.
FIFA Instructor from Croatia Mico Martic and FIFA and AFC Elite Instructor Tsang Wai Chung from Hong Kong conducted the course.
