The AFC.comAFC inspects Qatar futsal facilitiesThursday, 14 October 2010Kuala Lumpur: An AFC technical inspection team has inspected futsal facilities in Qatar which has bid to host the 2011 edition of the AFC Futsal Club Championship.
The technical team led by AFC Futsal Director Ali Targolizadeh visited the Gulf nation from October 6 to 9, 2010, in preparation for the annual competition to be held in June 2011.
The team visited the Al Rayyan Sports Club’s stadium, which was proposed as the main venue of the competition, with Al Gharafa Sports Club’s stadium proposed as the backup one.
Targolizadeh told the-afc.com: “We were there to check the facilities, such as the player dressing rooms, tournament offices, mixed zones, technical areas and others.
“We also inspected the training fields at the Qatar Sports Club, Al Rayyan Sports Club and Al Gharafa Sports Club, as well as the recommended accommodations for the team delegations.”
“AFC already has full information on the venues and facilities in Iran, which hosted the 2010 edition in Isfahan,” added Targolizadeh.
