The biggest amateur Futsal League in Cyprus!

The Institute of Certified Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) is organizing for the first time an official Futsal League in which 16 teams from all over the island will compete for the championship.

The championship, which started September 29th and is expected to finish by January 25th, will feature some great numbers for futsal lovers - 16 teams, more than 200 players, more that 70 games, and of course many goals!!

Futsal is the fastest growing game in Cyprus and more than 3,000 people play daily on an amateur basis.

Yiannis Vakis one of the league’s administrators and a current member of the Cyprus Futsal Committee has emphasized the fact that this league can easily be used as a model for a future expansion of the game on an amateur level. “Futsal is spreading on the island on a fast pace and it is vital to communicate and teach the fundamentals of the game in all levels.”
