Sheffield FC Futsal have appointed dutchman
Michel Liverani as their new head coach. He is the former ZVV Volendam coach in the Dutch Premier Futsal League and will be hoping to make an immediate impact with the FA Northern National League champions.
He brings to Sheffield over 17 years of playing and coaching futsal experience and even had a stint playing in the National League with Tranmere Victoria. Liverani said of his appointment: "My ambition for next season will be to win the north league and be in the finals of the futsal cup and championship playing an attractive and confident style of futsal".
Sheffield FC Futsal begin their challenge for the FA Northern Regional League on Sunday the 21st of November against Michel's old club Tranmere Victoria. The game will be held at Hillsborugh Leisure Centre, 11.30am kick off, anyone interested in tickets should email futsal@sheffieldfc.com.
Sheffield FC Futsal players Ben Mortock, Curtis Holmes and Ollie O'Neill were involved for England against Macedonia last week, in a friendly double header. Unfortunately, England were beaten 5-1 and 4-0 against an international team ranked 30 places above England. Full report
