France vs Algeria 4-0

1st Mediterranean Futsal Cup ...
France vs Algeria 4-0

OFFICIAL MATCH REPORT

by James Stringer

France secured their first win of the competition thanks to a wonderful hat-trick from Teixeira Alexandre. The Frenchman proved why he could be one of the players of the tournament with a solid display and some intelligent footwork.

Chaulet Jonathan scored the first goal of the game after a phenomenal cross field ball from the right was fed to him, leaving him in acres of space, he steadied himself before finishing with the aid of the far post. Melab Boulem of Algeria received a yellow card for a push on a French player before a Teixeira Alexandre brace gave France a 3-0 lead at the interval.

Algeria can feel a bit of injustice after the French keeper seemed to drop the ball and pick it up again, no indirect free kick was given, moment of controversy perhaps?
The score line isn't unjust at all for France who have dominated this game and it's taken some great goal line clearances and some fantastic saves from Tifrani Farid to keep the score as respectable as it ended.

Algeria came out the better side after the break but couldn't convert their chances into anything meaningful, Teixeira Alexandre hit his hat trick in the 35th minute and that completed the victory for France.

Futsal Planet will bring you an interview with Most Valuable Player Teixeira Alexandre just as soon as we get it translated, we'll keep you posted.
