Dzevad “Piga” Habibija, international futsal player and experienced futsal coach, now turns author with his book entitled “FUTSAL”, which he presented, with the support of Futsal legend, Mico Martic, to the participants of the 1st Mediterranean Futsal Cup on Saturday.
In attendance were national team coaches from most of the nations, including
Pablo Prieto, Libya’s Spanish head coach, who was one of the first to snap up the book that is a useful tool for everyone involved in futsal.
Currently the book is only written in Bosnian, but projects are underway to have the book translated into languages where futsal is in the development stage.
“I am working with a few partners to get it translated into French, English and German amongst other languages. It’s been very popular in the Balkan region so I am confident that other countries can make use of this book, especially those nations who may not have futsal books in their language,” explained Dzevad.
“It covers everything from the beginnings of futsal, to the modern day game and problems in tactics to suggested solutions of various situations. It will offer coaches and players ideas, but will also stimulate their thinking.”A great talent on the pitch, in the past season
Dzevad Habibija turned into a highly experienced coach. A former international player of Yugoslavia and Bosnia & Herzegovina, "Piga" played many years in the Italian Futsal league. Then he proved to be a great coach in Qatar and in his home-land Bosnia.
