Vietnam FA Official Web Site2010 Hanoi International Futsal ChampionshipThe 2010 Hanoi International Futsal Championship will be held at Quan Ngua gymnasium in Hanoi from November 12-14.
The first-ever international futsal championship in Hanoi will include four national teams from Vietnam, Chinese Taipei, Qatar and Thai stars team.
The teams will compete in a round robin basis. The winners will get a trophy and a cash prize of US$5,000 while the second and the third place teams will receive US$3,000 and US$1,000 respectively. Other individual prizes worth US$200 each will also be given to the most valuable player, the top scorer and the best goalkeeper.
According to Vietnam national coach Sergio Gargelli, the tournament is a good opportunity for the national squad to gain experience competing against top teams like Thailand, Qatar and Chinese Taipei. "The tournament will be tough for us because Thailand, Qatar and Taipei are strong. However, if we want to progress, we should play against strong teams. We would like to win the trophy", he said.
