Futsal Stars, Time To Ready Your Boots

Bandar Seri Begawan - Ayu Atiqah Event Management is welcoming entries for a futsal tournament it will be organising next month.

Held for the first time, the competition will run over two days -Dec 5 and 7 - at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam Sports Complex.

According to a Press release issued by the company yesterday, the entry fee is set at $100 for each team.

The champion, runner-up, third and fourth placed team will win prize money and medals. Certificates of participation will be awarded to all teams that compete.

The Press release did not disclose how much the teams would win.

In a bid to attract more teams, entries that are received before Dec 1 will only be charged $80.

Teams that register after the date will be charged the original $100.

The tournament is open to 40 teams only and will be held on a first come first serve basis

All teams are given the chance to choose their grouping (Group A-F). The teams in this group will play on Dec 5 from 8am until 10pm.

Sides from the remaining two groups (G and H) will see action on Dec 7 at noon.

The competition will be held in a knock-out format after the group stages.
