The FA.comLet battle commence!Thursday, 18 November, 2010Futsal teams ready to commence new National League system.
The country’s top Futsal clubs commence battle once again this weekend, with the kick-off of the fourth season of The FA National Futsal Leagues on Sunday. The 2010-11 season promises to be the most exciting yet, with the leading Futsal clubs in England all going head-to-head at their own home-venues.
The FA National Futsal Leagues are divided into three regional divisions: the North, South and Midlands leagues. Each regional league has eight clubs that will play against each other throughout the season until the middle of May. The top two teams from each of the three regional leagues will then meet in an exciting heavyweight clash in The FA National Futsal Leagues Grand Finals, which will take place in June 2011. The Grand Finals not only decides which club will be crowned the English national Futsal champions, but also which club will qualify for the UEFA Futsal Cup (the Champions League of Futsal!).
Helvecia were the 2010 national champions, as well as The FA Futsal Cup winners, so will any of the other clubs be able to rise to the challenge in 2011 of dislodging Helvecia and claiming the title? We are yet to have a club from either the Northern or Midlands Leagues win The FA National Futsal Leagues, or will this be the year this statistic changes?
It certainly promises to be an exciting season, so to keep up-to-date with the results and the fixtures, please visit the FA Full-Time website by clicking here.
