Araz, Montesilvano leading in elite round of UEFA futsal cup

Before the second round the champions of Azerbaijan and Italy have 3 points and they are leading on the contest table.

The head coach of the Azerbaijani futsal team Araz Jose Alecio da Silva shared his impressions after the victory in the starting game of the group B of the elite round of the UEFA Cup over Cyprus Ararat (2:1).

“The first matches are always hard”, News.Az quotes the coach as saying to AFFA’s website. “We had many moments in the first time, we could not use them, Meanwhile, the opponent used one of the two of its chances. I am glad that I could make a turn in the game after the missed goal and win. We will try to use the goal moments better in the next match.

In the second match of the first round in our group, the hosts of the mini contest-the team VIZ-Sinara from Yekaterinburg lost to Italian Montesilvano 1:2.

Thus, before the second round the champions of Azerbaijan and Italy have 3 points and they are leading on the contest table. The next matches will be held today at 16.00 Baku time. Araz will play Montesilvano and VIZ-Sinara and Ararat will enter the court further.

Only the group winner will get a right to play in the Final of Four.
