Araz and Montesilvano draw in Futsal Cup

Araz Nakhchivan have drawn 2:2 with Italy's Montesilvano in their second Group B match in the UEFA Futsal Cup elite round in Yekaterinburg.

All the goals came in the second half. Montesilvano's Ricardo Caputo got the first goal in the 25th minute. Araz's Bartolo restored the balance in the 31st minute but 49 seconds later Hernan Garcias put Montesilvano back in front. Vitaliy Borisov secured the draw for Araz with a goal right at the end of the game.

In the other Group B match hosts VIZ-Sinara of Yekaterinburg thrashed preliminary round qualifiers AGBU Ararat Nicosia 12:1.

That leaves Araz and Montesilvano both on four points, one point ahead of Yekaterinburg.

Montesilvano look the most likely to claim the one qualifying place for the Futsal Cup final tournament, as they play Ararat Nicosia in their final group game on Thursday. The Cypriots are without a win in Group B.

Araz need a good win against VIZ-Sinara of Yekaterinburg on Thursday in order to win the group on goal difference. Sinara also have to win the match and hope that Ararat can pull off a draw to if they are to have any chance of qualifying.
