Iran Selected as Asia's Best Futsal Team in 2010

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) on Wednesday selected Iran as the best team of the continent in 2010.

In a ceremony to introduce the best football and futsal coaches, teams and players of the Asian continent in 2010, the AFC officials named Asia's ten-time champion and the only nominee for the award, Iran, as the best team of the year in futsal.

Head of Iran's futsal committee Abbas Torabian received the best national futsal team award from AFC executive committee official Ogoura during the ceremony.

The Asian powerhouse and reigning champion, Iran, has won 10 of the 11 national futsal championships held in the continent and has been repeatedly selected as the best Asian futsal team of the year in the last decade.
