THIRTY two teams will participate in the Sports World sponsored futsal championship which will start at the Nadi Sports Club tomorrow.

The tournament is part of the 2010 Vodafone Bula Festival program.

The three-day futsal tournament has attracted teams from Suva.

Bula Festival sports chairman Vineel Nand said the teams would be divided into eight pools.

He said the tournament was being organised by the Nadi Airport business house committee on behalf of the Nadi Bula Festival Association.

"The pool matches will start at 6pm on Friday," Nand said.

"It will continue on Saturday with the finals scheduled for Sunday. This is the first time that we are organising a futsal tournament at the Nadi Sports Club. The games will be controlled by the Nadi Referee's Association."

The three-day tournament is offering a prize purse of $1200.

Nand said a volleyball tournament would be played on Saturday at Prince Charles Park in Nadi. He said the competition would be played in the men's women's and mixed categories.

"For volleyball, the total prize-money is $1000," Nand said.
