Quake Futsal Club results

01 Dec, 2010

CAMPBELLTOWN City Quake Futsal Club NSW Premier League round 10 results:
Quake came away winners on the day with seven wins and two losses, for 21 Club Championship points.

- 12 boys: Quake 6 (Anthony Haddad 3, Bradon Clissold, Phil Hasiuk, Lachlan Rixon) lost to Sydney Benfica FC 14.

An understrength Quake team met the undefeated competition leaders Benfica and were well and truly beaten by a fantastic young side.

A well-taken hat trick by Anthony Haddad was the only highlight in an otherwise goal fest to the guests.

- 12 girls: Quake 7 (Shania Pourrashidi 3, Ashlee Norman, Brittney Hammond, Mia Connors, Lauren Featherstone) d Sydney Benfica FC 0.

Quake remained in the top three with a convincing win.

A hat trick to Shania Pourrashidi was the highlight.

- 14 boys: Quake 6 (Matias Da silva Santos 2, Sebastian Malfara, Jack Taseski, Ben Rodriguez, Bryce Dolinscak) d Sydney Benfica FC 1.

Quake flew to a 5-1 lead by the break.

The second half was a much tighter affair with just the one goal scored.

- 14 girls: Quake 4 (Laura Murtagh 4) d Sydney Benfica FC 2.

Quake trailed 1-0 at half-time, but managed a fantastic comeback, led by four-goal heroine Laura Murtagh.

- 16 boys: Quake 7 (Sebastian Malfara 3, Ben Rodriguez, Bruno Antelmi, Shannon Fielding 2) d Benfica 6.

This was a fantastic match which went down to the wire. Quake was seemingly doing it with ease until a Sydney Benfica FC revival in the second half resulted in a grandstand finish to a great game.

- 16 girls: Quake 5 (Annika Chapman 2, Lucy Chapman, Sharon Walsh, Katherine Hawker) d Sydney Benfica FC 1.

A first half goal fest was contrasted with a goal-less second half as Quake disposed with ease of last-placed Sydney Benfica FC.

- Youth Men: Quake 1 (Alex Dizio) lost to Sydney Benfica FC 6. After an even first half, Quake made far too many errors putting far too much pressure on themselves in the second half.

- Women: Quake 8 (Sarah Semaan 2, Claire Walsh 2, Lauren Ralston, Quake, the competition leaders did enough to win the game, skipping to a five-point lead at the top of the table.

- Open Men: Quake 7 (Danny Martinez 2, Simon Keith 2, Dean Lockhart 2, Mark Symington) d Sydney Benfica FC 3.

This was a much-needed win for a Quake team which is still in the hunt for a play-off spot. Simon Keith and Gavin O'Brien led from the front.
