Queensland Futsal Summer League

Week 3 of the Queensland Futsal Summer League was played last weekend at Insports Cornubia with great Futsal on show in front of another large crowd.

Under 11 – Sunshine Coast def Brisbane 14-2
Sunshine Coast continued with its 100% record with a comfortable win against Brisbane. Sunny Coast ran to a 7-0 half time lead which couldn’t be pegged back and the final score showed the difference in class between the two sides.
David Jackson top scored with 5 goals for Sunny Coast, Kobe Fuller grabbed 3, Joshua Nisbet 2 and Taj Hudson, Bradley Ellis, Mitchell Peat and Tyler Phillips all scored one each.
Alex Sargent was Brisbane’s most dangerous player, he scored their only two goals.

Under 10 – Brisbane def Gold Coast 6-2
With Sunshine Coast and Far North Coast NSW occupying the top two positions, both Brisbane and Gold Coast are still hoping to make second spot and clinch a place in the Finals. Unfortunately for Gold Coast it will be difficult following their loss to Brisbane.
Brisbane lead 4-0 at half time and despite Gold Coast narrowing the margin midway through the second half, Brisbane proved too strong.
For Brisbane, Ethan Wildermuth scored twice while Blake Edwards, Lewis Ballard and Josh Dearn each scored once. For Gold Coast Cruz McClure and Aiden Riechan scored one each.

Under 14 – Gold Coast def Far North Coast NSW 8-0
In a total miss-match of styles, Gold Coast showed why they are the favourites for the Under 14 Championship with a comprehensive victory against their visitors from NSW.
Richard Churchan opened the scoring in the 1st minute which set the scene for the game. Churchan ended with a hat-trick while Jayden Reid and Sebastian Moradi each scored twice, while Kane Darker scored one as well.
