Fafusa disqualifies Veteranas da Huíla team from futsal championship

Lubango - Angola Futsal Federation (Fafusa) disqualified Wednesday, in Lubango City, the Veteranas da Huíla team from the national senior female five-a-side football championship, due to irregular use of four athletes.

According to a press release from Fafusa, the athletes Liliana da Costa Medeiros, Cândida Manuela Talala, Edmaira Patrícia Antunes Relógio and Yolanda Alberto already participated in the provincial championship and are connected to Desportivo do Kilamba of Lubango.

The federation explained that the sports law of the country forbids athletes playing two different collective sports in the same season, “reason why Veteranas da Huíla were disqualified”.

Veteranas da Huíla were leading group B with six points at females national championship.
