NPC Inter-Media Futsai Attracts Strong Participation From Media And Sponsors

The NPC-GAB Inter-Media Futsal Championship, the final sporting event of the year for the National Press Club (NPC), is set to be an exciting affair with strong participation from main stream media and sponsors.

NPC deputy president Joe Fernando said most of the main stream media in the country would be represented in the tournament which is to be held on Dec 5, at the National Sports Institute (ISN) Hall in Bukit Jalil starting 9am.

Among media teams that have confirmed their participation are Astro, New Straits Times, Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM), Bernama TV, Bernama, Malaysian Nanban, Kosmo, The Star and Makkal Osai while Milo, Malakoff, GAB, Naza and Sports Unite will feature in the sponsorship category.

"The participation of teams signified the goodwill and camaraderie among journalists.
"After covering various futsal events here and abroad, journalists will now be able to test their own skills on the court," he told reporters after launching the event Wednesday.
According to Fernando, the competition offered fabulous prizes from major sponsors like Nestle (Milo), Figos, Sports Unite, Malakoff and F&N.
"The top four teams in the media category will win cash prizes plus individual medals while the winner of the sponsor category goes home with a trophy and individual medals.
"For the first time in the history of NPC futsal, all media teams participating in the NPC Futsal tournament, will also receive a set of jersey, sponsored by Figos (M) Sdn Bhd," he said.
